Pioneer Great Witley walk

I pioneered my Great Witley walk 21-08-08 with Brett Workman and his Eight year old grandson Jacob, who is a club member. Was he tired after the walk? He sat in the car for the 20 mile journey back home reading a book, and then wanted to go & play with his friends .
The walk consisted of the 3 hills, and what hills they are, Brett and myself found the going a bit tough but young Jacob kept up a steady pace for the whole 5 miles.

The clock tower at Abberley built in 1883 known locally as Jones's Folly (after the builder) stands at 49 meters high and cost £12,000 to build.

We are off

We have had a committee meeting on the 4th August when we discussed the new Blog page and it was not considered to be a topic that many were happy with.

However it may be an alternative / part of the website which may interest club members. We have taken away the Links page and added a Blog page. This will mean that all club members that may be interested in taking an active part in the club's website can add their messages to this page in the form of a diary comment.

If club members wish to take part in this interesting development, then please contact Colin Buswell for the password and further information.
